How do I convert my Camcorder files?
I recently bought a camcorder and now I want to edit my videos. The problem is, they won’t load to windows movie maker. It says error and that the file is not compatible. How do I convert the videos that are in mp4 mode into something that windows movie maker acknowledges?
Or better yet, if mp4 does work, how can I load it on there without receiving an error or my windows movie maker freezing and restarting?

If you had told us which camcorder (manufacturer, model number, storage type) you are using, that would be a lot easier. Flash memory, hard disc drive, DVD, miniDV tape, standard definition or high definition all use different file types.
