Is it possible to damage a digital camera by using less expensive replacement batteries?
I have a new Nikon P5000 digital camera that uses a battery-EL5. I would like to purchase some cheaper replacement batteries for use with the camera. I was not sure if there was a possibility of any damage to the camera by itself the use of batteries not manufactured by Nikon. I guess some of these batteries are not so well made and can not last forever, but did not want to risk doing any damage.
I bought several batteries for my third dSLR, and have better energy density and last longer than the OEM.
