Dropped my digital camera, what about the warranty?
Today I dropped my Olympus FE-330 camera, and it broke.
The lens is stuck out and it won’t turn on. I’ve tried charging the battery and putting it in, and nothing seems to work.
I’m pretty sure that it’s broken for good.
But the camera is fairly new, so I think it’s still covered by the warranty. Am I still covered by the warranty if I dropped this one?
No, that’s not what a warranty is for. It covers manufacturing defects, not owner abuse. Dropping it is owner abuse. You could try lying to them and say it was that way, but I seriously doubt they’ll believe you. Sorry!
