I need a great digital camera with a super great Zoom lens, what should I buy?
We have a good digital camera, but my husband wants one that he can take to the NFL football games and zoom in for good close-up pictures of his favorite players. Any suggestions? I want to get it for him for Christmas and I don’t want him to be disappointed.
The above is a great response… the seats will make a bigger difference than the camera… the closer the better. With that said, I would recommend a Nikon D40 or D80 and the new Nikon 70-300mm VR lens. With the built in VR this will compensate for hand-shake and allow for more pictures that are sharp. If you wanted to go whole hog you could get him the Nikon 80-400mm VR lens… the bigger the mm the farther the reach of the zoom. But then you’re also talking some bucks….
