can a 600mA ac adapter charge a 1000mA LiIon battery?
No, you are proposing a dangerous thing! Li ion batteries can overheat and explode if they are misused. An ac adapter will not automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged. I repeat, this is dangerous and you should not do it.
Are you sure your battery is rechargeable? If it doesn’t say “rechargeable” on the battery or on the battery packaging, do NOT try to recharge it!
If it is rechargeable, then you need a proper charger for Li ion batteries. DO NOT just use an ac adapter to do this.
