How I can set my Nikon D3000 with my remote control?
I just got the Opteka RC-2 remote control for my Nikon D3000, but I'm not sure how work. The battery is in there, but no lights on and pressing the button, it does not take a picture. Help?
I have the D3000 as well. To get the remote to work you need to change the release mode. I use the Nikon ML-L3 remote with mine. Go to the menu, then the camera icon. Then go to "release mode." Then select one of the remote locations. Or another way to change it without going to the menu by pressing the button at the bottom left of the camera, magnifying glass. Then on the screen, on the right side, there is a release mode settings under the ISO. You can select one of the remote places in there too.
