I E-P2 (with M. Zuiko 14-42mm Lumix G and 45-200mm lens) for more than a month, and there are still mixed feelings about it.

Not what I expected
I just returned from my Olympus PEN E-P2 and thought I would post a little review for the edification of others. Some time ago, I sold my computer APS-C (a Canon 20D with lenses) because I wanted something I feel comfortable carrying around … something that does not look like a gun when it was pointed out to you and that I feel comfortable taking the bus or bike or social events. It turns out that I sold too soon and I believe that micro 4/3s would be the holy grail. I recently purchased the e-p2 kit with the viewfinder and lens Zuiko 14-42. Ay, 'TWAS not what I expected.
I feel that e-p2 is much closer to a compact camera with high functionality of what is an SLR camera limited functionality. I did not realize how key of an optical viewfinder (combined with manual focus) is until I tried to photograph my son's track meet or shoot a landscape at night. Meanwhile, the very different situations, the super-cool little extension in the electronic viewfinder (EVF), basically, useless. With To focus manually, the LCD (or EVF) includes a small section of the image and increases so that you can manually adjust the focus. The reason is that it is useless by the time they move the field focus on something that you care, as my daughter was very pretty and talented, she walked away. For landscape shooting, remove the tripod to move their point of view to their point of interest. Both situations are problematic. In addition, at night on the LCD / EVF are not useful because pixels not only collect nearly as much information as eyes for the night, I just got a lot of useless flashing pixels.
The e-p2 was great static objects during the day that do not require a tripod. Build quality is high, as it should be for a camera roughly the same price as a D90 or 50d, and really is a very small laptop-style beast. Controls were more or less, the main dial is designed for little fingers and little baby that was not annoying.
If you can accept the limitations I have described, is a great little camera in my humble opinion though too high a price. I think image quality is really good, although I saw a little highlight clipping. The high ISO performance also seems competitive with full-blown SLR. Really I hope this year's Photokina includes Canon / Nikon filing a small, optical viewfinder, interchangeable lenses, APS format camera to compete with cameras M43, and Oly and Panasonic are really onto something with these cameras.I small that the conclusion is that it would be great to have, along with a SLR, but it is not
