Easy steps to fix your printer paper jam
Jam paper is very common problems and even the best printers that have it. Once the annoying paper jam occurs, in order to complete your print job in time and save money, you must learn about some simple steps to fix it.
Paper Jam step by step instructions:
Step 1 Turn the printer and to see if you can withdraw part or all of the jams automatically. If not turn off the printer and go to the next step.
Step 2 Check up where printed paper. If the jammed paper and is visible as it exits the device, try to manually delete it. If you can not pull the rest with ease, then refer to steps following.
Step 3 Remove the paper trays. Has the paper wrinkled or damaged remains stuck in the printer. If so, remove any other appliances that can (Toner or ink cartridges if necessary) and find the pieces of paper. Make sure nothing is left on this device.
Step 4 Order your white papers, turn the printer back and try again. If massage jam still appears, repeat the steps above. If no paper jammed in the device, but the error still persists, well, then it is likely that your printer is experiencing another hardware problem: it is possible that the rollers or other parts need to be adjusted or replaced. Check the printer manual and the manufacturer web site for directions, or contact your support line for assistance.
Things you should be careful to remove the paper manually
l You should be careful, especially for a laser printer – laser printers may overheat.
l Do not remove jammed paper from which the blank paper enters the printer or device could be damaged easily.
l If you find a piece of paper jammed pull it with both hands carefully to keep the paper breaks. If several sheets of paper stuck together, trying to lose the jam by removing the first half.
l If the paper breaks, you may need to manually turn the gears that feed the paper through the printer to free up the pieces. Do not force anything.
