The Canon 18-200mm Lens – A lens is what you need
As the owner of a Canon Digital Rebel or Canon 50D (or any of its predecessors) that you really need to know about the benefits of Canon 18-200mm lens in a lens option all-in-one.
What's in a name
If While we refer to as the 18-200mm Canon lens, has an official name. This is a Canon EF-S F3.5 -5.6 18-200mm IS telephoto .. How would you like to have the height of a label like that? In considering the name, see EF-S. This means that the lens is made to the lower end Canon cameras such as the sequence of Canon Digital Rebel and 50D digital SLR (along with previous XXD models). That means you can not use this general tour around the goal of the highest quality models such as Canon 7D and full-frame models.

In fact, having to change lenses is one of the blessings and curses of the owners of digital SLR cameras. Actually buy the camera so you can change the objective, then we are frustrated when we must.
More benefits
First, as noted is the focal range, which is 11x. Given surprising variation in the range, the picture quality is excellent.
In addition, there IS (Image Stabilizer), which is supposed to give an additional 4 stops opening without using a tripod. This is important because the more open is only f / 3.5, and increases from there to a maximum of f / 5.6. This is typical the super-zoom lenses, if Canon or another manufacturer.
A further advantage is the bokeh that occurs when using a wide aperture. The photographers are always comparing bokeh. The 18-200 makes a pretty good job with this, but is not considered the best.

Finally, consider a Canon of similarity
third-party producers have produced some excellent lenses that fit the Canon digital SLR cameras. If the benefits and problems are identical, why not think about saving some money for one of those? Give it some thought.
