"I can create more than one albums?

Yes, you can have multiple albums, each with unlimited photos. You need to use the multi-album Photo DVD Maker as follows:

– In the "Organize Photos" window, click the "New Album" button. There will be a popup window in which to enter the name of the album.

– Select photos and add photos to the selected album.

– Repeat above steps to add more slideshows.

How many photos can be added to the slideshows?

Photo DVD Maker uses MPEG encoder. Since the output file is MPEG2 format, the ability depends on the number of photos, interval time between photos and the length of the background music. The program can calculate the disc space used when photos or background music are added to slide shows. There is no limitation on the number of photos for each presentation. The only limitation is disk space DVD-R or DVD-RW. Typically, a 4.7G DVD-R disc has more than 1,000 photos with background music.

Why there is no transition effects when playing on TV?

Photo DVD Maker Professional version supports DVD, SVCD, VCD 2.0 still picture as the output format. Please select SVCD or DVD as the output disc format if need the transition effects. If you select the still image as the output format, there will be no transition effects available. The high-resolution still images format makes photos look great on TV (resolution is up to 704×576). To support this format of image quality on TV with DVD player the distribution of files on CD is not the same as the normal video CD which can be played like a movie on TV or computer. This is why that this output format does not support transition effects.

What is the difference between the trial and the full German version?

The only difference between trial and full version is the limitation that you can only burn maximum 36 photos into each CD or DVD.

Why my VCD or DVD Player does not recognize address burned CD or DVD?

The reason why some burned CD or DVD discs can not be played on your DVD / VCD is due to "read" the ability of your DVD / VCD. Please make sure your DVD / VCD compatible with VCD 2.0 format, SVCD. Even so, according to our tests, some models of DVD / VCD (normally, old models) do not support some particular brand names of burned CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW disc (worse DVD + R / RW). If this is your case, please use another brand of CD-R or DVD-R with the lowest write speed to have a chance.

When I play the Burned CD, what should I do if I have I have to activate the "PBC"?

"PBC" means "PlayBack Control". Is a function for VCD 2.0 format supports playback of the disc menu. Please do not press any button before pressing the "Play". Otherwise, the disc's main menu can not be presented. Sometimes, after you insert the burned disc into the DVD player, get the blue screen on TV. VCD, DVD and Photo VCD

Video CD or VCD, is a digital movie format. It is basically a version DVD primitive. A video CD is a kind of CD. Looks the same as a music CD or a CD-ROM, except that instead of music or software, which owns the films, using compressed MPEG-1 video. Its resolution is 352×240 (NTSC) or 352×288 (PAL), which is comparable to VHS. VCD uses an MPEG-1 encoding standard for store video and audio. A VCD can be played on most DVD players and all computers with a DVD-ROM or CD-ROM with the help of a VCD decoder software. VCD 2.0 was introduced in 1995 and adds high-resolution stills, fast forward and rewind functions to the original specifications; SuperVCD (SVCD) uses either high bit rate MPEG-1 or variable bit rate MPEG-2 for the use of CD-R instead of DVD drives.

DVD once synonymous with digital video disc or digital versatile disc, but now it just stands for DVD – the next generation of optical storage technology drive. The DVD is basically a Faster CD that can hold cinema-like video, better audio-CD, and computer data. Photo DVD

Photo VCD is not a standard itself, this term is used when a group of image files are placed on a VCD connected to TV and displayed in a format like a slideshow. There are two ways of doing this with VCD 2.0 technology: one is to import images in a video editing program, adding optional music and transition effects to your taste. The time between pictures is decided by the filmmaker, not the viewer. The result is output as a VCD or SVCD motion video and authoring tools like any motion video to VCD or SVCD.

The resolution is limited to VCD 352×240 (NTSC), 352×288 (PAL) or SVCD 480×480 (NTSC), 480×576 (PA), L, which may appear grainy or low resolution compared to the original images. Another way is to author a photo VCD 2.0 disc encoding each picture as a picture fixed MPEG 704×480 (NTSC), 704×576 (PAL). This allows better resolution but (probably) lacks transition effects. The resulting collection of images MPEG still can create a program that automates the entire process from disk images.
