Film Extrusion Line
Definition:
blown film extrusion can be defined as a process for the formation of plastic films. Extrusion blown film involves a molten resin extruded through a circular die and fill the tube with air. The air inside the tube extends to the film to obtain the desired thickness. In this process the plastic film is produced according to the required dimensions and thickness as required by the client end of the packaging industry. The film blowing process basically done by extruding a molten thermoplastic tube and repeatedly inflating the tube with air. The product can be used directly or can be sllited for form a flat film.

The Process
Molten plastic is extruded through an annular slot nozzle, vertically, to form a tube wall thin. The air is introduced through a hole in the center of the die to blow up the tube like a balloon. Mounted on the top of the matrix, blowing a high speed air Ring in the hot film to cool. The tube of film then continues upwards, continually cooling, until it passes through rollers pressure when the tube is flattened to create what is known as a pipe lay-flat 'in the film. This tube flat or collapsed path is then taken to down "tower" of the extrusion through more rollers. In the highest output lines, the air inside the bubble is also exchanged. This known as IBS (internal bubble cooling).
The film-flat, then either kept as such or the edges of the lay-flat cut out for produce two flat film sheets and finished reels. If kept as lay-flat film tube is sealed bags full width of the film and cutting or perforating to make each bag. This is consistent with the blown film process or at a later stage.
Usually, the expansion ratio between die and blown tube of film would be 1.5 to 4 times the diameter of the array. The reduction of the thickness of the wall melting and cooled film thickness occurs in both radial and longitudinal directions and is easily controlled by change the volume of air inside the bubble and by altering the drift velocity. This gives blown film a better balance of properties of traditional cast or extruded film that is drawn down along the extrusion direction only.
Materials:
(HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE) are made of polyethylene the most common resins used, but a variety of other materials can be used as a mixture with these resins or as a single layer in a multilayer film structure layers. These include PP, PA, EVOH. In some cases, these materials do not gel together, so that a multilayer film to peel off. To overcome this, small layers Special adhesive resin used in the middle. These are known as "tie layers."

Applications:
film blown can be used either in a tube (eg plastic bags and sacks) or the tube can be slit to form a sheet.
Consumer packaging (Eg packaging film for frozen products, shrink film packaging for transport, food wrap film, packaging bags, or form, fill and seal packaging film) Typical applications include Industry packaging (eg shrink film, stretch film, film bag or container liners), film lamination (eg, rolled aluminum and paper used for packaging for example milk or coffee) barrier film (eg film materials such as polyamides and EVOH acting as an aroma barrier or oxygen used for packaging of food, example, cold meats and cheese), films for packaging medical products, agricultural film (greenhouse film, for example, the film forced cultivation, silage film, silage film stretching).
